पिबन्ति नद्द्यः स्वयमेव नाभ्यः स्वयम् न खादन्ति फलानि वृक्षाः |
नादन्ति सस्यं खलु वारिवाहाः परोपकाराय सतां विभूतयः ||

A river never sips or drinks
The water flowing by its brinks.
A tree won’t eat the fruits it flowers,
A cloud won't reap the crops it showers.
The worthy share their worth with others:
